Pain-free Dentistry

Dental Laser

Heat, vibration and pressure are the primary causes of pain associated with the use of the traditional dental drill. Since cutting both hard and soft tissues (teeth and gums) with the laser does not generate heat, vibration or pressure, many dental procedures can be performed nearly pain-free with fewer need for anaesthesia and less use of the drill. Additionally, using the laser for gum procedures reduces bleeding, post-operative pain, swelling and the need for pain medication in many cases.

ZAP

Zap topical anaesthetic gel minimizes pain in oral mucosal tissue. Zap directs attention away from the discomfort of needle punctures, deep scaling procedures, prosthetic adjustments, clamp or crown placements, primary dentition extractions and suture removals. Zap can also be used to reduce the pharyngeal (gag) reflex associated with placing dental materials like impression trays and x-ray films into the oral cavity.
